I am a mama of three spitfire little ladies. I had three good but very different pregnancies and birth experiences. I learned with my second that with education and support I could have the birth I envisioned not what I am told that I wanted. After that I knew that everyone deserved to have choices and have the birth they want.

A doula provides evidence based support, guidance, education to a pregnant woman and her partner before, during, and after labor. As well as in the 4th trimester. Benefits of having a doula can include reduced induction rates, fewer requests for pain meds, increased chance of a natural birth, improved postpartum mental health, family bonding with partner and siblings. increased movement during labor, comfort and reassurance, lactation support, and greater satisfaction. (There are so many more but I do not have enough space to list them all.)
